Thank you!

Director Catie Glynn said this about auditions: "Some many folks gave grounded lovely readings, and played with us, they took direction and showed a fabulous sense of openness that was like a breath a fresh air." Thank you to everyone that auditioned!

Auditions!

Saturday, December 10
10:00 - 2:00
St. Mane Theatre, Lanesboro

When four lost New Englanders who enroll in Marty's six-week-long community-center drama class begin to experiment with harmless games, hearts are quietly torn apart, and tiny wars of epic proportions are waged and won. A beautifully crafted diorama, a petri dish in which we see, with hilarious detail and clarity, the antic sadness of a motley quintet.

Director Catie Glynn is looking for three women (including a teenager/young adult) and two men for this little gem of a play. Auditions Dec. 10, but rehearsals won’t start until January. If you can’t make the auditions, please contact catieglynn@gmail.com to arrange an alternate time and date. No preparation needed. Rehearsals will be during the day on the weekends in Jan/Feb, switching to evenings as we approach performances. Four performances: February 23-26, with possible additional festival performances.

We hope to see you there!

Silent Movies in the Park After Dark

Well, another year of the Silent Movies are over. This comment from someone who attended on Saturday night sums it up well:

Thanks again for putting all this together! As things were gathering in the twilight, children playing, music playing, I kept thinking, "This is one of those magical things that makes Lanesboro what it is."

My heart is full.

You can see a video of the Ekstrom Trio performing before the silent movies HERE.

You can look at photos from the event HERE and HERE.

DVDs are for sale at the art center. Enjoy!
