Be prepared to move and have fun!

You can bring a song to sing (or one will be provided) and an accompanist will be available.

Parts available for 4th grade to adults!

LCT is excited to get back on stage at the St. Mane Theatre!!

Auditions will be held on January 5th and 6th from 6-8pm at the St. Mane.

If you can’t make the audition dates but still want to try out please contact LCT on Facebook.

Rehearsals will start on the 10th from 6-8pm and continue on certain weekdays also at 6-8pm.

2 weekends of shows: Dates are March 4th 5th and 6th and 11th 12th and 13th

The Play - Lend Me A Tenor

Taking Place in a Hotel Suite in Cleveland Ohio in 1934 on a very important night for the Cleveland Grand Opera Company, everything must go smoothly. A world famous Italian tenor, Tito Mirelli, is set to perform the starring role in Othello. Things DO NOT go smoothly in this comedic slapstick farce!!  

There are 8 parts!! 4 Men and 4 Women. 

Henry Saunders – The Cleveland Grand Opera's general manager. Father to Maggie. A blowhard who often loses his temper at the slightest mishap.

Max – Saunders' long-suffering assistant and Maggie's suitor, forced to take Tito's place in the role of Othello.

Maggie Saunders – Saunders' daughter, and Max's girlfriend. She has a great admiration for Tito.

Tito Merelli – The world's most renowned opera tenor, and notorious ladies man.

Maria – Tito's long-suffering wife, with an "Italian temper". Leaves Tito early in the play, but ultimately returns to him. Loves Tito, despite his philandering.

Diana – The opera's ingenue soprano, who is "flinging her way" to the top. A seductive woman (and she knows it).

Julia – Chairwoman of the Cleveland Opera Guild, who considers herself a "grande dame." She wears a silver dress which, Saunders says, makes her look "like the Chrysler Building."

The Bellhop – A comic relief character who has an ongoing feud with Saunders. An obnoxious opera fan, the bellhop keeps showing up at the hotel suite at the wrong moment, trying to get an autograph and a photo of Tito Merelli.

On July 31 at 6:00 p.m. and August 1 at 1:00 p.m.

Lanesboro Community Theater will present three one-act plays,

interspersed with lively music from Sister LUV,

a reading about a man almost going over our own Lanesboro Dam,

jokes, a sing-a-long, an appearance by Ole and Lars and other surprises. 

Bring your own picnic, settle in on your socially distanced blanket,

and savor the show while you dine. Come prepared to laugh, sing,

and feel the way theater helps us share the intensity of life.

In the event of rain, the show will go on at Discovery Church,

just across the street from Sylvan Park.
